Green Food Guide

Choose suppliers with great tasting products for guilt-free eating – buying fair trade products ensure the producers of the food get a fair price, improved working conditions and a better future. DESCRIPTION
In the fully licensed Croust House, you can enjoy delicious home-made food, either inside by a roaring fire or out in the sunshine in the old farmyard. We serve meals from 10am till dusk. Everything is home-made, and includes soups, pizzas, pasties and a variety of fresh salads, as well as lots of home-made cakes and pies. Any and all of these go beautifully with an apple juice or cider made on the farm, or a locally-made organic beer. Or enjoy our Ice Cream Parlour - our cabinets are constantly brimming with 24 flavours of our freshly-made ice cream. You can have cones, tubs, whoppers or little ones - three flavours with cream and a chocolate flake, or just a simple cone with a wonderfully refreshing yoghurt fruit ice. We\'ve never used pesticides or artificial fertilisers, which is why our land and our herd have been certified fully organic by the Soil Association since 1995. We never break the land either. And because it\'s never disturbed by a plough, a rich and diverse range of clover and meadow grasses grows undisturbed, which means incredibly healthy and nutrient-rich topsoil. No chemicals or pesticides means milk with its natural goodness intact.
